Meet Karan, Your Psychologist
Karan is a registered psychologist (M.Psych (Counselling), The University of Queensland) who offers evidence-based, values-driven, and person-centred therapy. His approach draws primarily on ACT, CFT, CBT, and mindfulness-based interventions (including MBCT), supporting clients to build psychological flexibility, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of meaning and direction.
He has worked across university counselling and community settings, including addiction counselling, culturally responsive telehealth support, student wellbeing programs in residential college environments, crisis support with Lifeline Australia, and psychosocial support roles. Alongside his clinical training, Karan has a longstanding interest in Eastern philosophy and the existential dimensions of human experience, including impermanence, suffering, and interconnectedness, and how these can become pathways for growth and healing.
In sessions, he’s guided by five core values: growth, learning, authenticity, health, and gratitude, aiming to create a steady, genuine space where clients feel safe to express themselves and work toward change. Karan supports clients with emotional regulation challenges, life transitions and adjustment difficulties, grief and loss (including older adults), stress, burnout, anxiety and depression, chronic pain, suicidality/self-harm, and spiritual and existential concerns.
